Residential Chargepoint EV Charger Installation with Load Management Device in West Vancouver

In a recent project, Amor Energy assisted a West Vancouver homeowner in installing an EV charger along with a load management device, the DCC-12. The homeowner, an EV enthusiast, needed a reliable and efficient charging solution that wouldn't strain the existing electrical system of their house.

Procedure

1. Electrical permit application and handling, and onsite electrical inspection attendance
2. Using a 50 Amp breaker run the BX #6/3 wire from the garage panel and install a ChargePoint Home Flex NEMA 14-50 Plug (6m).
3. Supply and install DCC-12(load management device) due to insufficient power.
4. Successful service installation of the EV charger and passing city inspection.
